The State of My Watch Collection in 2021

Introduction

2021 has flown by, and as the year comes to a close, it's time for me to reflect on the state of my watch collection. I thoroughly enjoy creating collection videos, as well as watching other watch reviewers' collection videos. There's something fascinating about seeing what watches others choose to keep in their collection and how their tastes evolve over time. It's also an excellent way for me to document the changes in my own collection. So, let's dive into the highlights of my watch collection in 2021.

Heirloom Watches

Certain watches in my collection hold immense sentimental value and are considered heirlooms. These timepieces carry personal significance, and I can't imagine parting with them.

1. Invicta iForce: The Invicta iForce holds a special place in my collection as it was the first mechanical watch I received as a gift from my wife. It sparked my fascination with mechanical watches and ultimately led to my deep involvement in the watch hobby. This watch will forever remain in my collection as the one that started it all.

2. Sarx055: The Sarx055 is a watch that holds sentimental value as it was the timepiece I wore on my wedding day. This watch serves as a cherished reminder of that special occasion and will stay in my collection for years to come.

12. Casio Edifice: The Casio Edifice has proven itself as the reigning champion among my watches. It has triumphed over various competitors in my Casio Edifice showdowns and remains undefeated. I'm keen to find worthy challengers for this watch in 2022, but as of now, it continues to be the standout timepiece in my collection.

Honorable Mentions

Aside from the watches Mentioned above, I have a couple of honorable mentions worth noting. These watches will soon be reviewed, and their fate in the collection is yet to be determined.

1. Orient Defender: The Orient Defender is a versatile watch that effortlessly blends ruggedness with elegance. Its performance and design will be thoroughly assessed before making a final decision on its place in the collection.

Notable Absence

Although my collection saw several additions this year, it also experienced notable absences. One significant absence is the Steinhardt Ceramic GMT. Wavering between selling the watch to fund a larger purchase and retaining it, I ultimately opted to let it go. However, I must admit that I occasionally regret parting ways with this watch.
