Introduction
Hey guys, it's Annie, and I'm back with another exciting video for you all. Today, I had a unique idea that I couldn't resist trying out. I received the new Punky Color Hair Sprays, which are part of the collaboration with the Neutrals World Tour Movie. As soon as I saw them, I Instantly got inspired to turn myself into Poppy, the pink troll from the movie. Now, you might be Wondering why I would want to transform into a cartoon character, but trust me, it's going to be a fun and glamorous cosplay version of Poppy. So, let's dive right into the process!
The Punky Color Hair Sprays Collaboration with Trolls
Before we jump into the transformation, let me give you a little background on the Punky ex Trolls World Tour collection. Punky Color, a brand known for its vibrant and long-lasting hair dyes, partnered with the Neutrals movie to release a line of temporary hair sprays. These sprays allow you to experiment with different colors without commitment, making it perfect for those who love to change up their look frequently. The collection features a range of shades inspired by the colorful characters in the movie, including Poppy.
The Temporary Hair Color Experience
Now that you know about the collaboration let's start the transformation process. To achieve the vibrant and streak-free colors, I'm using the Moon Creations paint in magenta and light pink as my base. I found that using an eyeshadow brush with minimal Water helps to prevent streaking and provide fuller coverage. My goal is to Create a cosplay version of Poppy, incorporating a little glamour into the look.
Creating a Cosplay Version of Poppy
I want to make this transformation a bit different from the typical cartoon-like style. Instead, I aim to add a touch of glam to the look. To achieve this, I'm using cream paint by Wet n Wild in a non-existent pink shade to highlight the high points of my face. By using a lighter shade instead of white, I can avoid a stark appearance. I'm keeping it light-handed to prevent any lifting of the paint underneath.
Base Makeup: Achieving a Streak-Free Look
Before moving forward, let's ensure our base makeup looks Flawless. I'm using the Anastasia loose setting powder in translucent to set the cream paint. This will help prevent any smudging or creasing. To add depth and contour to my face, I'm lightly going around the perimeter of my forehead with a darker pink shade. It's vital to Blend everything seamlessly to avoid any patchiness.
Contouring and Setting the Face
To give definition to my cheeks and achieve cute, defined cheeks like Poppy, I'm using the colorful Minko shade from the Bretman Rock X Wet and Wild palette. With a light HAND, I'm applying it to the hollows of my cheeks. Additionally, Poppy has white freckles, which I can't wait to recreate. It's all about adding that extra dimension and character to the look!
Adding Color to the Cheeks and Creating White Freckles
While we're in the midst of this transformation, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the Current situation we all face. It's essential to have distractions and find a Sense of happiness during these trying times. I consider myself fortunate to be able to work from home and provide content to you all. My heart goes out to those who have lost jobs or had their businesses shut down. Let's all take a deep breath, focus on safety, and find solace in moments like this.
Eye Makeup: Playing with Colors and Eyeliner
Now, let's move on to the eye makeup. I'm stepping out of my comfort zone and embracing the colorful side of Poppy. I'm using the color "Two Can Play That Game" from the palette to Deepen the crease and add a touch of red. Care must be taken to ensure no cracking occurs. Applying too much pressure or product in the crease area can result in unwanted cracking, so a light touch is key.
Lip Liner and Lip Color Experiment
Poppy doesn't have defined lips, so I'm improvising here. I'll be using the Beauport lip liner, which has a red shade but leans towards the pink side. It should give a similar effect. To add some poutiness and make the lips pop, I'm using the color "Nectar" by ColourPop, a super light pink shade. The final result may look crazy at first, but once we Apply the lip color, it will tie the whole look together.
Completing the Look: Hair Dye and Styling
The time has finally come to transform my hair. I chose the "Pink in Papi" shade from the Punky Color Hair Sprays collection. Following the instructions, I shake the can well and hold it about 10 to 18 inches away from my hair. I apply it to my dry, styled hair, being careful not to get any on the parts I want to remain a different color. The spray offers a highlighting effect, which I love. It blends seamlessly with my existing hair color and gives a vibrant look.
Final Touches and Clothing Options
To complete the transformation, I add some final touches. I paint my ears pink to match the hair, ensuring a seamless flow from head to toe. Additionally, I put on a headband with colored cotton balls, inspired by the flower crown Poppy often wears. Now, I just need to decide on my outfit. Poppy is often seen wearing tank tops, and I have a Blue button-up that matches her tank top color perfectly. Remember, sometimes improvisation is necessary when it comes to cosplay!
