The Frustration of Making Videos
Are You familiar with those videos that you make with the expectation that they won't be too complicated, that you'll just do a few runs and be done? But then, hours go by and you're still working on the video? That's exactly what happened to me. Hi, I'm Think Noodles, and welcome back to Doors, where today we're going to be hunting entities indoors in order to get the final few badges using the crucifix. In this video, my goal is to unlock at least five badges, which means multiple runs and, of course, the frustration that comes along with it.
Hunting Entities for Badges
In order to obtain the remaining badges, we need to hunt down certain entities indoors. Let's take a look at the ones we still need to encounter: Ambush, Screech, Hulk, Dupe, and Eyes. While some of them may be easier to find than others, the challenge lies in actively searching for and encountering them within the game. This requires patience, persistence, and a little luck.
One entity that has proven to be particularly elusive is Ambush. Despite being a rare spawn, I used to encounter Ambush quite frequently during my Crouch Only Challenge. However, it seems that with the addition of new entities like Dupe and Rush, Ambush's appearance has become increasingly rare. This means that obtaining a crucifix early in the run is crucial, especially if we want to have any chance of encountering and unlocking multiple badges in a single playthrough.
The Crucifix: Unlocking Badges
The crucifix is a special item in Doors that allows players to ward off particular entities, such as Ambush and Eyes. By utilizing the crucifix, we can protect ourselves and potentially unlock specific badges associated with those entities. However, obtaining the crucifix is not an easy task. It requires a substantial amount of coins, and the crucifixes themselves can be scarce, often spawning in late game stages. This presents a challenge as we aim to unlock badges within a reasonable timeframe.
The Challenge of Obtaining Crucifixes
In my numerous attempts at obtaining crucifixes, I've learned that early spawns of the crucifix are incredibly valuable. Having a crucifix in the early stages of the game gives us a significant AdVantage when it comes to encountering and capturing entities. Unfortunately, these early spawns are few and far between, making each run a race against time to find a crucifix before it's too late.
An additional challenge arises when playing in a group. While entities like Eyes can spawn multiple times in a single run when playing solo, the presence of other players may affect the dynamics of entity spawns. It's unclear whether multiple crucifixes can be obtained in a single round, as it has been suggested that once a crucifix is present, another may not spawn. Further research and experimentation are needed to confirm this.
The Importance of a Crucifix for Ambush and Eyes
Ambush and Eyes are two entities that require specific strategies for encounters. Ambush tends to be a faster and more aggressive entity, making it crucial to have the crucifix to ward it off effectively. Meanwhile, Eyes can be found in multiple locations and has been known to spawn early in some rounds. To maximize our chances of unlocking badges, it is essential to use the crucifix when encountering these entities and prevent any unforeseen deaths.
Experimenting with Revives
In our Quest to unlock badges, we have been experimenting with the use of revives. Reviving oneself in Doors can be a helpful strategy, especially if death occurs early in the run. However, it's essential to consider the consequences of reviving, such as the loss of certain benefits or a reduction in additional rewards. Furthermore, reviving in a group setting may vary from reviving in a solo game. It is crucial to determine the mechanics and implications of revives to ensure they are used strategically and effectively.
The Disappointment of Losing Coins
In the pursuit of badges and progress in Doors, the accumulation of coins is vital. Coins allow us to purchase essential items, such as the crucifix, that greatly enhance our chances of success. However, it's easy to underestimate the importance of coins and use them carelessly. In my experience, losing coins can lead to frustration and setbacks. It's crucial to be mindful of our spending and prioritize necessary items to maximize our progress within the game.
The Elusive Early Crucifix Spawn
One of the most significant challenges in Doors is the early spawn of a crucifix. With the recent addition of new entities and the shifting dynamics of spawns, obtaining a crucifix early in the game has become increasingly difficult. However, unlocking multiple badges in a single run heavily relies on having an early crucifix. Strategically picking up coins, prioritizing purchases, and searching for crucifixes in every nook and cranny become essential steps to achieve success.
Conclusion
In conclusion, unlocking badges in Doors can be a frustrating yet rewarding endeavor. The challenge lies in obtaining the elusive crucifix and utilizing it effectively to unlock specific badges associated with entities like Ambush and Eyes. Exploration, careful spending of coins, and experimenting with different strategies are key components of success. By understanding the mechanics of the game, staying persistent, and adapting to changing circumstances, we can maximize our chances of obtaining multiple badges in a single run. So Gather your wits, sharpen your Sense of observation, and embark on the thrilling Journey of badge hunting in Doors. Good luck!
