Busy Times and Apologies

Good morning and welcome! I hope You've all been well and stitching up a storm. I want to start off by apologizing for the delay in my videos. It's been almost a month since I last filmed, and I'm sorry for not keeping you updated on my stitching progress. Life has been hectic with getting everyone back to school and dealing with other responsibilities. But I'm here now, ready to share with you what I've been working on. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

What I've Been Working On

During this past month, amidst the busyness of life, I managed to squeeze in some stitching time. I'd like to share with you the projects I've been working on and the progress I've made.

First up is H. Faulkner by Priscilla's Pocket. It's a sweet little Chart that was loaned to me, and I Instantly fell in love with it. I stitched it up quickly and got it framed. It now adorns the wall in my bedroom, serving as a beautiful reminder of the joy of cross-stitching.

Next, I started and finished a charming chart called Keeper of the Pins - Dame of the Needle. It was a collaboration with my stitching friends, and we had a great time stitching it together. I framed it in a cute red frame that I found at Michaels, and it now sits on my cutting table, adding a touch of charm to my stitching space.

Another project I've been working on is the Sewing Club Book - Hollyhocks Were Always There. It's a lovely sewing Roll that I started with my stitching friends during a Zoom call. I've made good progress on it, and I can't wait to finish it and make the little sewing roll or "hess wife" as they call it. It's been a fun project to work on, with its beautiful colors and intricate stitching.

Stitching Plans and Progress

Looking ahead, I've made some stitching plans to keep me motivated and excited about my projects. I'll be starting Mary Wigglesworth for Sampler September. It's a sampler that has been on my list for a while, and I'm eager to begin stitching it.

I also recently purchased The Auden's Acorn Gathering by Brenda Gervais. The adorable squirrels on the chart caught my eye, and I can't wait to start stitching them. I have a vision of displaying them alongside my previously stitched crows from A Good Housewife, creating an endearing tableau.

For the new year, I'll be starting the Harriet Charlesworth 1822 Sampler. This sampler has a beautiful verse that Speaks to my heart, and I'm excited to stitch it. It will serve as my new year new start project, filled with hope and anticipation.

In addition to these new starts, I plan to finish Consider the Lilies, a project that has been a work in progress for a while. It's a stunning sampler, and I'm determined to complete it this year.

Crochet Projects

Aside from cross-stitching, I've also dabbled in crochet lately. I rediscovered my love for granny squares and decided to try my HAND at larger projects. I made a shawl using a self-striping yarn and enjoyed the process. It turned out beautifully, although a bit smaller than I anticipated. Nonetheless, it will make a cozy accessory for the chilly months ahead.

I then embarked on a larger crochet project, the Orla Sideways Shawl. It's a simple pattern using a soft cotton yarn. I'm thoroughly enjoying the crochet Journey and can't wait to wrap myself in this cozy shawl.
