Life Updates

Hey guys, welcome back to my Channel! Today, I have a lot of updates to share with You all. As you may know, we're currently in a transitional period in our lives. We just had a baby, and we're about to move to a new house. Summer is coming to an end, and we're about to begin a new season. By the way, I'm so ready for fall! It's blistering outside, which just reminds me that I forgot to put on deodorant this morning. For some reason, I think it's because I'm postpartum, the hormones just make you sweat more and stink more. I am struggling, you guys. I feel like I need to reapply deodorant multiple times a day, whereas before, I just put it on in the morning. If anyone else can relate, please let me know.

Postpartum Journey

A few updates: I Am Now two months postpartum. I actually have my six-week appointment today, which was supposed to be a couple of weeks ago, but I had to reschedule it. Elena just turned three, and I can't believe that we didn't actually do a party for her or anything just because I really wanted to do her third birthday at my house with all of our family, and this house is just a little bit too small. We're just gonna wait until next month when we will be in the new house, and I'm so excited to decorate and make her Minnie Mouse birthday of Dreams.

Natural Deodorant

Speaking of deodorant, I'm also looking for a natural deodorant. Not that I don't love each and every one, but I want to try another natural deodorant. If you have one that you love, please let me know.

Two Months Postpartum

I am now two months postpartum, and I'm so ready to get back into a routine after baby. I've just been feeding on demand for Jonah, letting him sleep whenever, not really timing when he sleeps or anything like that. But he actually just started sleeping a lot better throughout the night. He really only wakes up once a night to feed, which is perfect for me because I get so much better sleep, and I have so much more energy. School is about to start for Elena, so I can get her on a better schedule, and I really want to start doing more things for myself, like going to work out. I actually did try a Pilates class last week. It was my first time doing Pilates, and I'm so excited to keep going. It was just an intro class, so I could learn how to use a reformer, but I went ahead and signed up for a membership. It's at Club Pilates, and I'm so excited to get into my hot mom era. I'm just so ready to do a little bit more for myself and get out of this funk that I've been in for the past couple of months.

Toddler and Baby Haul

I recently went on a toddler and baby haul and got Elena a bunch of sets that are just comfy. All of these are like sets, which is just easy. I also got some plain white sneakers with Velcro. For Jonah, I got him a few new things, including a cute little romper and a sweater with a beanie.

House Updates

We have a lot of new changes in the house. We have landscaping, which I think looks so good. It really brought the house to life. They also did these steps out front, and they installed all of our hardware and plumbing fixtures. We're also still waiting on our railing. They installed our tub, and I'm so excited. My vision of this is coming to life. They also planted some magnolia trees in the back, which will grow and fill up this window to give us more privacy.

Two-Month Baby Update

Jonah is two months old now, and he's such a sweet baby. He started smiling a couple of weeks ago, and he keeps looking at the camera. He has the eyebrows, a concerned eyebrow look, which he gets from his dad. We're trying to put him on a better routine during the day so that he goes to bed a little earlier at night, but he only wakes up once during the night. He goes to sleep at like midnight or 12:30, so we need to get better on a routine. Other than that, he is such a sweet baby, and I'm so glad he doesn't have colic, which is what we struggled with a lot with Elena at this age.

Prioritizing Self-Care

I just got back from a Pilates class, and I'm so excited to finally be prioritizing myself a little bit, especially after this pregnancy and especially at the stage of life that I'm in right now when I just feel like I don't have that much time for myself. Whether you're a mom or not, I just think it's so important to prioritize doing something good for yourself every day, whether it be exercising or a hobby. You have to do something for your mental health, and I think this is going to be it for me.
