Article: "Project Pan Update: Progress and Momentum"

Introduction

Welcome back to my Channel! This is the Second update for the Pansy Project Pan, created by Ali for the Fantastic Ladies. If You're interested, you can find the link to Ali and the Fantastic Ladies Facebook group below. In this update, I'll be sharing the progress I've made with the products in my project pan. Let's dive right in!

1. Ani Highlighter - My Japanese Connection

The first product in my project pan is the Ani highlighter from Aromalay. The prompt for this product is to choose something connected to Japan. I chose this highlighter because it is inspired by Magu, a Japanese goddess. My goal is to finish this highlighter, but I also have another one I'm working on. So far, I've used this highlighter three times since the last update, bringing the total number of uses to nine. I will Continue using it until I finish the other highlighter and then make it my main focus.

2. Bigfoot Blush - Made in the USA

Next up is the Bigfoot blush from Menagerie. This blush represents the prompt for a product made in the USA. I chose this shade, Goji, because it fulfills that criterion and because I love Menagerie's formula. My goal for this blush was to use it ten times, and I'm happy to say that I've achieved that goal. I've already worn it seven additional times since the last update, and it looks stunning on the skin. This blush will be rolling out of the project, but I'll definitely repurchase it in the future.

3. Cleona Eyeshadow - The Phoenix

One of the products I rolled into the project is an eyeshadow from Cleona. This eyeshadow represents the prompt for the Phoenix, a product that I've either repressed or depotted. I aim to use this eyeshadow ten times. Although I've only used it once so far, I'm really impressed with the shade. However, I have many other eyeshadow products in rotation, so progress may be slow. Nevertheless, I'll be working on using it more frequently to fully appreciate its beauty.

4. Manticore Blush - A Work of Art

The Manticore blush represents the "work of art" prompt. I chose this blush because of the intricate imprints on the pan. The shade, Sweet Peach, is already well-loved, and I want to test the longevity of the ombre effect. So far, I've successfully used it ten times and achieved my goal. However, I noticed slight wear on the pattern, which makes me curious to see if the ombre effect was just an overspray. Regardless, I'm pleased with this blush and will continue to use it.

5. Psychola Use Duo - Highlighter and Blush Combination

In the previous update, I set a goal to use a highlighter and a blush a certain number of times. Unfortunately, I have not started using this duo yet. My focus has been on the other blushes in the project and the additional highlighters I'm working on. However, I plan to prioritize using these products to meet my usage goals for the next update.

6. Golem Perfume - A Product that Helps or Rescues

For the Golem prompt, I had trouble deciding on a suitable product. Eventually, I rolled in a perfume from Newly Cobalt Designs. This brand is known for their unique scent blends inspired by witchery and magic. The fragrance I chose, Secret Staircase, combines notes of green Fig, Persian lime, ancient suede sandalwood, and more. I find this scent grounding and helpful, which aligns with the prompt. My goal is to finish this perfume by the next update.

7. Typhon Eyeshadow - Fathering a Trend in the Beauty Community

The Typhon eyeshadow from Tara Moons represents the prompt of a product that fathered a trend in the beauty community. Tara Moons, alongside Cleona, played a significant role in popularizing the multi-chrome trend. The shade I selected, Euphoria, is a stunning purple multi-chrome. My goal is to use this eyeshadow ten times to make the best use of my multi-chrome collection. I'm excited to incorporate more unique shades into my makeup looks.

Project Update and Momentum

I'm incredibly satisfied with the progress and momentum I've achieved in this project pan. The balance of products with different usage goals and finish targets has been working well for me. The project not only allows me to rotate through my collection but also motivates me to finish products or hit pan. I find that rolling in more usage goals and easy-to-finish items helps me avoid feeling overwhelmed while panning. I'm grateful to Ali for creating this project and to all of you for following along.

Conclusion

In conclusion, this project pan update highlights the progress I've made with various products. I'm pleased with my accomplishments so far and excited to continue working on my goals. Stay tuned for the next update, where I'll share more insights and progress. Thank you for joining me on this panning Journey!

FAQ

Q: Can you explain the concept of panning and hitting pan in the beauty community? A: Panning refers to the act of using up a cosmetic product until the pan at the bottom becomes visible. Hitting pan means reaching that stage where the product is significantly used and the pan is exposed. It is a popular goal for makeup enthusiasts who want to make the most out of their collection and minimize waste.

Q: How do you choose which products to include in your project pan? A: I consider factors such as products that I want to finish or hit pan on, ones that have been neglected in my collection, or those that align with specific prompts or themes of the project. It allows me to be more intentional in my product usage and explore different items in my collection.

Q: How do you stay motivated during a project pan? A: Setting realistic goals, documenting progress, and celebrating achievements are essential for maintaining motivation. Additionally, participating in a community or sharing updates through videos or blog posts can provide accountability and encouragement from others who are also working towards their own goals.

Q: Can you continue using products outside of the project pan? A: Absolutely! The project pan is a personal challenge, and it's entirely up to the individual to decide if they want to exclusively focus on the designated products or still incorporate other items into their routine. The goal is to find a balance that works for you and supports your larger beauty goals.
