Returning to the USA Network
After a brief hiatus from the USA Network, I found myself back on the familiar network, and this time with an even bigger role. Moving back to the USA Network was a natural progression for me, as the network has always been great to me over the years. The whole NBC Universal family has been supportive and I couldn't ask for more. It's been a love fest between us, starting from my days on West and now returning to Psych. I have a wonderful time working on Psych and it's a joy to be able to Continue doing what I love.
The Love for Working on Psych
There's something incredibly special about working on the Show Psych. The opportunity to portray the character of Gus has been a true blessing. I can't express how much I enjoy flipping between different roles and experiencing something new. It's a refreshing change that keeps me motivated and excited about my work. Being able to do what I love is a wonderful feeling, and I am grateful for the chance to continue my Journey with Gus and the rest of the Psych family.
Working on Psych is more than just a job. It's a family. The camaraderie on set is truly remarkable, and it's what makes the whole experience so enjoyable. We have a blast together, and the laughter is contagious. It's not just about the work, it's about the relationships we build and the memories we Create. Psych has become a home away from home, and I couldn't ask for a better place to be.
Working with Jasmine Simon
One of the highlights of returning to Psych was the opportunity to work alongside Jasmine Simon. Having her join the Psych world and play an integral role in the movie was an absolute blast. Jasmine brought her A-game to the set and had us cracking up with her comedic timing and infectious energy. It was a joy to share the screen with someone as talented and beautiful as Jasmine. The chemistry between our characters was electric, and I know the fans will thoroughly enjoy what she brings to the movie.
Having a love interest for Gus was a game-changer. Throughout the years, Gus had been somewhat unlucky in the romance department, but finally, he found his match in Jasmine's character. It was a long-awaited moment for the fans, and I couldn't be happier for Gus. The weight of all those years without a love interest finally paid off, and now viewers will get to see a new dynamic between Gus and his lady.
Inside Jokes on Set
While filming Psych, we always had a great time on set, and there were plenty of inside jokes shared amongst the cast and crew. These jokes would often come up between takes, adding an extra layer of humor to the overall experience. We thought about including some of these inside jokes in the movie, but ultimately, they didn't make it to the final cut. However, I'm sure the fans will appreciate the glimpses of our camaraderie and the lighthearted moments we had behind the scenes.
Outtakes and Behind-the-Scenes
Every production has its fair share of outtakes, and Psych is no exception. Unfortunately, the decision of including any outtakes in the movie is up to the producers and directors. While I can't say for certain if there will be outtakes shown in the final cut, I do hope that they make an appearance. Including outtakes would be a fantastic way to showcase the fun and humorous side of Psych that the fans have come to love.
As for dancing, Gus' signature moves won't be seen in this movie. Due to my recent knee injury, I had to take it easy during filming. Dancing and intense physical activity were off the table for me at the time. However, fans can still expect to see the familiar quirks and characteristics of Gus. While he may have evolved as a character, certain traits, such as his scream or his tears, are still integral to who he is.
Gus' Character Evolution
The introduction of a love interest for Gus has undoubtedly impacted his character's development. It's an exciting aspect to explore, as it adds a new layer to Gus' personality and how he interacts with the world around him. Without revealing too much, I can say that Gus' love interest will have a profound effect on him. But fear not, there will still be plenty of comedy to come from this new dynamic. Gus being in love opens up a whole new territory for laughter, and fans can expect some hilarious moments to arise from it.
Sean's Nicknames for Gus
One of the beloved aspects of the show Psych was the nicknames that Sean would come up with for Gus. It became a recurring theme and a source of amusement for the audience. Looking back, I think the nickname "Silly Pants Jackson" would have made the best in-ring wrestling name for Gus. It perfectly encapsulates his lighthearted and humorous nature, emphasizing his ability to make people laugh while still being a formidable presence in the ring.
Initially, the nicknames were ad-libs from James Roday, who portrays Sean on the show. However, as time went on, the writers started joining in on the fun and began adding their own creative nicknames for Gus. It became a collaborative effort to see who could come up with the cleverest nickname. While I can't recall the exact nicknames used in the movie, I can assure You that there will be some Memorable ones that fans will enjoy revisiting.
Coming Back to Comic-Con
Returning to Comic-Con after being away for so long is an incredible feeling. The love and support we receive from the fans are humbling, and it's a testament to the impact that Psych has had over the years. The engagement and enthusiasm from both the fans and the media remind us of why we do what we do.
