Tutorial: Drawing Stitch

Hey guys, it's Percy here! I know I've been a bit absent lately, but the 60th anniversary of Disneyland kept me really busy. I apologize for my disappearance. Today, I wanted to do a cute tutorial on drawing Stitch. I've drawn him before, but I wanted to give it another try because I've improved since the last time. There's this adorable image of Stitch sitting like a puppy, and I just had to draw it. So, let's get started!

Starting with the circle

To begin, let's Create a circle for Stitch's body. Make it slightly Shaped like an egg. This will serve as the foundation for the rest of the drawing.

Shaping the face

Next, we'll focus on the face. Start by extending a circle downwards from the body, curving it back up to attach to the initial circle. This forms the body Shape. Now it's time to place the face. Begin by drawing a segment down from the tip of the nose. Then, curve it outward and bring it down to create the chin. Join it back to the body, forming Stitch's head shape. Keep in mind that his fur is lighter Blue on this part.

Drawing the ears

Now, let's move on to the ears. Above the head, draw a line that curves slightly and then create a triangle shape. This is the outer part of the ear. Within that, draw another triangle shape for the inner part. Add a blue section inside, representing the inner ear. Repeat the same steps for the other ear.

Adding details to the face

To give Stitch his adorable face, let's add some details. Draw his nose and nostrils, and then create two curved lines for his smile. Add a lighter blue section at the base of the smile, representing his fur. Next, draw two circles for his eyes and add a shine. Don't forget to give him his trademark dark blue eyebrows.

Drawing the body and legs

Moving on to the body and legs, we'll start with the shoulder. Extend a line out from the ear and form a circle. Connect it back to the body, creating the shoulder. Then, draw the arm extending down from the shoulder, making it slightly wider at the bottom. Repeat these steps for the other arm, ensuring it overlaps the body. Now, draw the circular shapes for the hands and add small claw-like details. For the legs, create two wider circles at the bottom of the body and connect them with another circle. Add claw-like details to the feet as well.

Final touches and shading

We're almost done! Connect all the shapes to form Stitch's back and give him a cute little tail. Add a dark blue stripe on his back and a patch of dark blue fur on one leg. Lastly, clean up the guidelines and give some depth to the drawing by shading in certain areas.

Conclusion

And there You have it! A fun and cute drawing of Stitch. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and found it helpful. Remember, practice makes perfect, so keep drawing and have fun along the way. Stay creative and I'll see you in the next tutorial!
