Before applying any makeup, it's essential to prep the skin properly. Start by ensuring your hair is covered, especially if you don't want any makeup on it. If you're wearing a polo neck, remember to turn it down to avoid getting any makeup on it. Begin by prepping your skin with a moisturizing cream. I personally use the La Mer Soft Moisturizing Cream, which provides excellent hydration. Allow the moisturizer to settle for about an hour or two before proceeding to the next step.

Foundation Application

For my everyday makeup, I prefer using the Huda Beauty Faux Filter Luminous Matte Foundation in the shade Chai (210B). It offers high coverage without feeling heavy on the skin. I recommend buying this foundation in bulk as it tends to run out quickly. However, if I have a longer day or a special occasion, I'll use a primer before applying the foundation. One of my favorite primers is the Benefit POREfessional Primer, which creates a smooth base for the foundation. I gently rub it onto my face, focusing on areas without concealer. After applying the foundation directly to my skin, I use a Tarte brush to buff it in. This technique gives an airbrushed finish and ensures a seamless Blend.

Concealer for a Flawless Look

To achieve a flawless look, I rely on the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. The shade I use is Light 2.4, called Cafe Olay. I Apply this concealer to the inner corners of my eyes, the outer corners, and any areas that require coverage. Using the same foundation brush, I blend the concealer into my skin, including my eyelids. This technique creates a perfect base for eyeshadow application. For additional coverage, I gently pat the concealer on areas that need extra Attention.

Achieving a Natural Bronzed Look

Living in a predominantly rainy climate, I love maintaining a bronzed look. My go-to product for achieving a natural sun-kissed glow is Benefit's Hoola Bronzer. Applied on the cheekbones, temples, and forehead, Hoola adds just the right amount of warmth and definition. I use a large brush to apply the bronzer, starting with light strokes on my cheekbones and temples. Then, I Dust a little on the neck to ensure a seamless transition between the face and neck. To contour my nose, I use the same bronzer, applying it along the sides and underneath. To soften any harsh lines, I gently buff the bronzer using a buffing brush.

Eye Makeup for Everyday

For my everyday eye makeup, I keep it simple and natural. After applying a base eyeshadow to set the foundation, I reach for a taupe shade from a Tarte eyeshadow palette. Using a Chanel angled brush, I apply the medium brown shade along the lower lash line to define my eyes. I focus on the outer corners and blend it gently to Create a subtle smoky effect. To add more dimension, I use a fluffier angled brush to blend and soften the eyeshadow. This technique gives the illusion of almond-Shaped eyes and ensures a seamless transition between the eyeshadow and the rest of the makeup.

Perfecting Eyebrows

Well-groomed eyebrows can make a significant difference in framing the face. I use the Nyx Professional Makeup Micro Brow Pencil in Brunette to achieve a natural-looking brow. Starting with fine strokes, I Shape my eyebrows, emphasizing the Arch. To create a sharp tip on the pencil, I remove the excess with a tissue, allowing for precise application. I fill in my brows and blend the color using short strokes. I also use the pencil to lightly define the crease above my eyebrows. This technique hides the crease lines and adds definition to the overall brow shape. Finally, I blend the brows for a soft, natural appearance.

Adding a Touch of Blush

Blush adds a healthy flush to the cheeks and enhances the overall makeup look. I prefer using the Benefit Dandelion blush for its subtle and natural color. Using a fluffy brush, I apply the blush along the cheekbones, temples, and a touch just above the brow. This technique creates a harmonious flow between the bronzer and the blush, giving a soft and radiant finish to the cheeks.

Creating Luscious Lips

To complete my everyday look, I opt for a matte lip. Using the NYX Professional Makeup Matte Lip LINER in the shade To Lose, I Outline my lips, slightly exaggerating the outer edges. This technique adds fullness and shape to the lips. To fill in the lips, I blend the lip liner, creating a natural fade towards the inner lips. Currently, I'm enjoying the Sephora Outrageous Effect Volume Plump Effect Lip Gloss in color 01. I apply this gloss over the lip liner, giving my lips a glossy and plump appearance. The final result is a beautifully defined pout.

Final Touches: Mascara and Removing Mistakes

For the finishing touch, I reach for the Benefit Roller Lash Mascara. Before applying the mascara, it's crucial to apply a thin coat and allow it to dry. This technique prevents any smudging when placing a head scarf or any covering over the face. Once dry, I apply a Second coat to the outer lashes, focusing on defining and lengthening them. Similarly, I apply a small amount to the lower lashes for a more balanced effect. To remove any mistakes or excess mascara, I use a cotton bud, gently wiping away the smudges. Using a buffing brush, I blend the entire makeup look, ensuring a seamless and polished finish.
