High Wizard Guide: Level 50 to Level 90
Hello there, guys, and welcome back to my YouTube Channel! In today's video, I'll be sharing with You my High Wizard guide for leveling up from level 50 to level 90 in Ragnarok Origin. If you haven't subscribed yet, make sure to click the Subscribe button to get more updates on my Ragnarok Origin videos. I am really excited to be making this video because High Wizard is one of the classes that will dominate the game, especially in War of Imperium.
The main skill of a High Wizard is focused on Area of Effect (AOE) spells like Meteor Storm, which allows them to deal damage to multiple enemies at once. High Wizards can average 200 to 600 kills on War of Imperium maps, making them an enjoyable class to play. In the old days, when there were no Professors or Land Protection skills, chaos ruled. But now, we can play High Wizard without waiting for a Professor to stop us.
In this guide, we will focus on the Meteor Storm build, as it is the most requested build on my Discord Channel. But before we dive into the specifics, let's discuss the pros and cons of Meteor Storm.
The Pros and Cons of Meteor Storm
Meteor Storm has some great advantages that make it a valuable skill. Firstly, it can stun your enemies, which is incredibly useful in battle. Additionally, it offers burst damage, which means it can deliver a significant amount of damage in a short period of time.
However, there are also downsides to using Meteor Storm. The damage is not consistently effective because you need to hit your enemies with 9 random meteors in 9 random locations within its range to deal damage. If any of the meteors miss your target, the damage will not be as high. Furthermore, Meteor Storm can be countered by Pasana, a card that reduces the effectiveness of Fire elemental attacks. It is only effective if the target enters the casting range and gets hit by all the meteors.
So, is Meteor Storm a viable skill? The answer is no. Its effectiveness depends on the positioning and skills of the player controlling the character. Every skill has its own strengths, and Meteor Storm will always be in use because of its stunning effect and burst damage. It's important to consider that in a Scenario where there are 20 or more High Wizards and 20 Priests in your guild casting AOE spells simultaneously, stun becomes a significant factor. Storm Gust can also do the work for you, but if you want to deal more damage while holding the enemy in place, Meteor Storm is the best option.
Now, let's compare Meteor Storm to Gravitational Field. Gravitational Field deals 400 damage, while Meteor Storm deals 550 damage and can be boosted by Magnum Break up to 20 percent. However, in terms of reliability, Gravitational Field is the superior choice. It consistently delivers higher damage and can only be countered by Ghost Ring and Marduk Card. Additionally, it slows down enemies who enter its casting range.
The big question is, which one is better? My answer is Gravitational Field. If you're looking for purely body counts, then Meteor Storm is the way to go. But if you prefer crowd control and consistent damage, Gravitational Field is the better option. Both skills have their own strengths, and it ultimately depends on your play style and preference.
Now that we have discussed the pros and cons of Meteor Storm, let's move on to skill and stat allocation for High Wizards leveling from level 50 to level 90.
Skill and Stat Allocation for High Wizards
When you reach level 50 and start your Journey as a High Wizard, it is essential to focus first on your Dex (Dexterity) stat. Cast time is a crucial factor for High Wizards, so balancing your stats becomes vital. I recommend a ratio of one INT (Intelligence) to two DEX. Prioritize your DEX, and the remaining points can be allocated to INT.
For skill allocation, you can simply copy or mimic this build:
- Meteor Storm (Level 10)
- Fire Pillar (Level 1)
- Sight (Level 1)
- Safety Wall (Level 10)
- Heaven's Drive (Level 5)
- Quagmire (Level 5)
- Energy Coat (Level 1)
- Cold Bolt (Level 10)
- Frost Diver (Level 10)
- Fire Bolt (Level 10)
- Fire Wall (Level 5)
- Stone Curse (Level 1)
- Lightning Bolt (Level 5)
- Thunderstorm (Level 10)
This skill build is focused on both Gravitational Field and Meteor Storm. Transitioning from Gravitational Field to Meteor Storm will be much easier with this setup. The only thing you need to change is your Battle Manual preset, which you can do manually.
Next, let's discuss the equipment guide for High Wizards leveling from level 50 to level 70.
Equipment Guide for Levels 50-70
The best equipment set for this stage is the Magical Set. It provides additional casting time reduction and a 3 percent increase in magic damage. For the Mobber, use the Hood for additional INT (Intelligence) and DEX (Dexterity) stats.
Now, let's move on to the equipment guide for level 80.
Equipment Guide for Level 80
If your equipment is not at least +15, the best set to use at this stage is the Print Set. It offers casting time reduction, global cooldown reduction, and increased magic damage. You can still use this set even after reaching level 100 to 120, as it remains one of the best sets for a Wizard.
Finally, when you reach level 90, a new equipment set will become available – the Magic Glow Set. This set increases your maximum SP and skill damage. However, it requires the equipment to be at least +15. It is still a good set for Meteor Storm, as it only lasts a few seconds and delivers burst damage. Personally, I believe the Print Set is the best choice, as you can cast more Gravitational Fields with lower casting time – the more skills you use, the more kills you gain.
Now, let's explore how Cogwheels can help you maximize your damage.
Maximizing Damage with Cogwheels
Since We Are focusing on Meteor Storm, all Cogwheels that focus on Tower will be the key to increasing your damage. Examples of useful Cogwheels include Metro Protocol, Mana Lens Boost Core, Overload Bloodthirst, and Cognizance Activation. These Cogwheels can significantly enhance your damage output and reduce casting time.
Moving on, let's discuss the impact of Elemental Cards on High Wizard's damage.
Elemental Cards and Their Effects
Elemental cards such as Bathory Card and Mandragora Card can increase your damage output. These cards are effective against monsters with affiliations to certain elements. For example, using a Bathory Card against a Fire-aligned monster like Minorous will increase your damage by 20 percent. It's important to consider the element of your target when choosing which Elemental Card to use.
Lastly, let's address a frequently asked question regarding MVP parties and drop rates.
MVP Parties and Drop Rates
When participating in MVP hunts, people often wonder if they need to reach the top 10 of the party to have a chance to drop rare cards or two-slot accessories. The answer is no. You can still obtain rare cards and two-slot accessories even if you don't rank in the top 10. The only thing exclusive to the top-ranked party is the Steam rewards. Personal rewards can be obtained by individual players who manage to last-hit the MVP.
