Chamber Builds for ELR Season

In this article, we will be discussing the chamber builds that are coming up for the upcoming ELR season. We will be taking a look at some new rifles that are being put together for testing in different calibers. The ELR season is a time when the weather dries out, the paddocks dry out, and the crops are shaved again so we get long patches to shoot into. This is the perfect time to do some ELR shooting, and We Are putting together some new rifles to do some testing in different calibers that people would like to see.

New Rifles for Testing in Different Calibers

We have three new rifles that we are currently working on. The first one is a 260 Remington in a Ticker T3. This rifle is already done and ready to go. The Second one is a 6mm Swan barrel, and the third one is a 270 Swan barrel. We also have a 300 Norma build that we are working on, and we will be discussing that in more Detail later on in this article.

The 260 Remington in a Ticker T3

The 260 Remington in a Ticker T3 is a great rifle that we have already shown a little bit of. It is set up in a Southern Cross Small Arm Chassis and is ready to go. This rifle is perfect for ELR shooting and is a great addition to our collection.

The 6mm Swan Barrel

The 6mm Swan barrel is a new addition to our collection, and we are excited to see how it performs. We have a 109 grain 6mm Burger that we will be using with this rifle. This is a new build of theirs, and we have done a little bit of testing in the 6mm Creedmoor. We want to take that rifle up a step further, so we are going to re-barrel it. We are going to go with a bit more than just a 243 Winchester. We are going to go to the actually improved, which gives it a 40-degree shoulder. We are probably going to run to a 27-inch barrel, which we think will be a very sweet spot and an ideal rifle at that level.

The 270 Swan Barrel

The 270 Swan barrel is another new addition to our collection. This rifle is in a Howa 1500 long action, and we are going to set it up with a 27-inch barrel. It is a one and eight twist, and we will be using 170 grain Burger bullets. The extreme outer limits the EEOL bullet needs the one and eight twist, so that's why we've gone that far. It's going to take the 7mm bullet and really take the 270 to as well as it can be for an ELR combination.

The 300 Norma Build

The 300 Norma build is a difficult build to get to, but we have managed to do it. We have a structured barrel from John Attackon and some brass and dies from David Tubb. The 300 Norma is a Lapua bolt face, so it isn't just the normal action. We are using a Barnard action, which is a little bit different, but it is super light and has a super controllable trigger. We are excited to see how this rifle performs.

The Barnard Action

The Barnard action is a great addition to our collection. It is a left-HAND eject, so it's got the ports on the left-hand side, and the actions on the right-hand side. We have modified it to suit our needs, and we are going to fill it with resin to make it super strong. We are also going to set it up with a big, heavy bag rider to go on the back of it.

The Custom Chassis Build

The custom chassis build is something that we are really excited about. We are using a Barnard action, and we have modified it to suit our needs. We are going to fill it with resin to make it super strong, and we are going to set it up with a big, heavy bag rider to go on the back of it. We are also going to machine the end down so that we can run our bipod system on the front of it.

Conclusion

In conclusion, we are excited to see how these rifles perform. We have put a lot of time and effort into building them, and we are confident that they will perform well. We will be testing them out in the upcoming ELR season, and we will be sure to keep You updated on how they perform.
