📚 Testing the Limits of AI: Can ChatGPT and You.com Answer Difficult Questions?

In the age of artificial intelligence (AI), the ability of machines to comprehend complex questions and provide accurate answers has always been a challenge. Recently, I conducted a series of tests to evaluate the question-answering capabilities of two AI models: ChatGPT and You.com. What I discovered was both fascinating and revealing, shedding light on the current state of AI development and its limitations.

1️⃣ Questions that AI Couldn't Answer

Looking back on the "before times" when ChatGPT was just on the horizon, I reflected on the questions that I initially believed no AI could answer. It started as a seemingly ill-timed video, but little did I know that it would pave the way for a significant exploration into the depths of AI's capabilities. In the following paragraphs, I will share the outcomes of the tests conducted using ChatGPT and You.com, highlighting their strengths and limitations when faced with challenging questions.

❌ The Biggest Mistake

When I first released the video, doubts crept into my mind. What if this was a colossal blunder? However, I soon realized that it was an opportunity to uncover the true potential of AI. It was like planting a stake in the ground, marking the beginning of a profound shift in our understanding of AI's scope.

2️⃣ Testing ChatGPT and You.com

To gauge the effectiveness of ChatGPT and You.com in answering challenging questions, I categorized the outcomes into three main groups: immediate correct answers, correct answers after one hint, and eventually correct answers. The following sections will detail each question and how the AI models performed.

🏆 Immediate Correct Answers

Starting with question one, which sought to know the capital of the state where the US president was born, both ChatGPT and You.com displayed a lack of knowledge about the person in question. However, once the president's identity was revealed, both models provided the correct answer, albeit with slight nuances in response formulation.

➡️ Correct Answers After One Hint

Question two delved into the enzyme responsible for breaking down lactose. While both ChatGPT and You.com demonstrated understanding of the topic, they failed to provide the specific name of the enzyme (lactase). By restructuring the question, focusing on the protein required for dairy digestion, both models were able to supply the accurate answer.
