The RC Advent Calendar

The RC Advent Calendar is a thrilling event for RC enthusiasts. Each day brings a new surprise, with 25 boxes to open and 25 corresponding videos to enjoy. From RC cars to trucks, and even ducks, the calendar is designed to keep you entertained throughout the holiday season.

Unveiling the Duck

For day seven, we have something unique in store: a duck. Now, this is not just any ordinary duck - it comes with a special twist. We purchased this duck three years ago, and it has been collecting Dust ever since. But now, it's time to bring it out and share it with you.

The Duck's Features

The duck comes with a set of interesting features. First off, it has a specific Latin name, which we will explore later. It also comes with a dodgy controller that lacks proportional control. Additionally, it includes a single-cell lithium-ion charger, spare props, and instructions.

A Change in Plans

Initially, we had different hopes for the duck. We anticipated that it would have encased propellers on the back, allowing for easy access from the top. This would have enabled us to turn it into the world's fastest duck. Unfortunately, our plans took an unexpected turn, but we are determined to have some fun with it nonetheless.

Testing the Duck

Before diving into any modifications, we decided to charge up the duck and take it to a local duck pond for some fun. We mounted a small camera on it to capture the duck's reactions, creating a duck reaction video.

A Disappointing Performance

As much as we tried to sweeten the ducks up with some bread, their reactions were not as dramatic as we had hoped. They seemed unfazed by the duck's presence. Perhaps they were wary of the camera or possessed more intelligence than we give them credit for. Despite our best efforts, the duck's performance left much to be desired.

The Duck Cam

The footage captured by the duck cam was surprisingly good. Although we only saw the duck's beak in the shots, there were some interesting and unique perspectives. We modified the duck by cutting a slot and securing the camera, providing a perfect view of the surroundings.

Using a Camera Boat

To capture shots on the Water, we utilized a boat cam, which is essentially a bait boat modified to carry a camera. This allowed us to position a GoPro for optimal filming. The boat cam proved successful in a previous video, and we hope it produced great footage for the duck video as well.
