Data and AI at Intuit

Data and AI are at the core of our platform's capabilities. We have an incredible breadth of data, amounting to over 60 petabytes, which we have cleaned and organized to create personalized experiences for our customers. Through years of experience and investment in AI, we have become a leader in the space. Our AI capabilities include over 65 billion machine learning predictions per day and 810 million AI-driven customer interactions per year. Recently, we unveiled our new Generative AI experiences powered by Intuit Assist, built on top of GenOS, our proprietary generative AI operating system.

GenOS: Igniting Innovation

GenOS is the driving force behind our platform's ability to Ignite innovation. It consists of four components: GenStudio, GenRuntime, GenUX, and financial Large Language Models. GenStudio is a dedicated development environment that allows our developers to rapidly experiment and refine generative AI experiences. GenRuntime intelligently accesses the right data and platform capabilities, chooses the appropriate large language model, and orchestrates personalized action plans for customers. GenUX provides a library of consistent customer interfaces and flows for delightful generative AI experiences. Financial large language models fine-tuned for tax, accounting, personal finance, cash flow, and marketing challenges empower GenOS to deliver groundbreaking AI experiences across our products.

Development Ecosystem

We continue to enhance our development ecosystem to support our developers. Intuit is an industry leader in open-source infrastructure, with our open-source development toolkit, Argo, experiencing a 50% growth in contributors in the past year. By modernizing our infrastructure, we are making it easier for developers to Consume and use our platform, resulting in a 50% increase in development velocity year over year. Additionally, we have launched AI-assisted code development, AI content generation, and AI-assisted data analysis tools to accelerate development further.

Our data integration capabilities handle the acquisition and exchange of data from third-party providers, setting the gold standard in the industry. With 20 billion transactions acquired annually and 6 million documents uploaded every day, we save our customers 7 million hours of work. We are constantly expanding experiences powered by our AI-driven data integration capabilities, including launching tools like Net Worth and Cash Flow to drive engagement with Credit Karma's prime customers.

Embedded FinTech

Our embedded FinTech capabilities enable us to move money on our platform efficiently, giving customers faster access to their funds. With over $2 trillion worth of invoices managed and $947 billion worth of bills recorded on our platform this year alone, our investment in embedded FinTech pays off. Customers can manage their bills with accounts payable automation up to two times faster, thanks to our AI-powered risk and anti-fraud capabilities.

Expertise Capabilities

Our expertise capabilities revolve around providing live expert support to our customers. Powered by our virtual expert platform, our live experiences are delivered at Scale. With AI-driven features such as intelligent document understanding in TurboTax Live Full Service, we save our live experts 160,000 hours per year by automating data entry tasks. We are expanding our live offerings to include business tax, leveraging platform capabilities like data integration, document understanding, identity, and knowledge engineering.
