Tudor Black Bay 54: A Thinner and Smaller Option

Tudor Black Bay 54 is a watch that caught my Attention as a beginner in the world of watches. With a diameter of 37 millimeters, it is thinner and smaller than the popular Black Bay 58. The design and color of the Black Bay 58, with its markers and red pip, appealed to me initially. In fact, I had even put my name on the waiting list for the Black Bay 58, but eventually decided to put my money elsewhere. The thickness of the Tudor Black Bay 54, at 11.24 millimeters, makes it thinner than my SKX. Overall, it's an interesting option to consider for those looking for a more compact watch.

The next watch that caught my eye is the Tudor GMT Pepsi. Featuring a white dial and a red GMT HAND, this watch stands out with its Pepsi bezel. However, the only available size is 41 millimeters, which might be too big for some. As someone on a budget, affordability is also a factor to consider. Nevertheless, the combination of the white dial and the Pepsi bezel makes for a visually appealing timepiece.

Moving on to the Cartier watches, the iconic Cartier Tank is a personal favorite. However, the models I came across didn't quite meet my expectations. The thicker case Shape and the use of diamonds on some models didn't resonate with my taste. The classic Cartier Tank with its timeless design remains my preference. On the other hand, the Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master 42 didn't have a distinct design in comparison to the Submariner range. The new Rolex Explorer and the Sky-Dweller also didn't leave a lasting impression. However, a limited-edition Rolex with a hand-engraved platinum case was truly a unique and artistic piece.

Additionally, the world of watchmaking showcased a variety of designs, from over-the-top and industrial-looking watches to jewelry-like pieces. Some designs were too flamboyant for my taste, while others exuded a timeless Charm. Exploring the history and background of each brand became crucial in truly appreciating the watches they offer.
