Introduction

Welcome to Vlog seven! In this episode, I'll be sharing my experiences and updates from the past week. From amusing incidents with discount codes to exciting collaborations and product improvements, we have a lot to discuss. So let's dive right in and get started!

Funny Incident with Discount Code

Today, while trying to complete the discount code setup, I accidentally ended up using my own promotion code to purchase my own product. It was an amusing mishap that resulted in a humorous tweet, which unexpectedly gained traction on social media. Despite the oversight, I managed to see the funny side of it and shared the incident with my followers. Little did I know that it would become one of my top tweets with 121 likes and 4 bookmarks. Sometimes, the unexpected turns out to be quite entertaining!

Skill Valley Collaboration

In an effort to Gather more feedback and increase usage, I created a discount code for Skill Valley and shared it with Ayush, who is associated with Skill Valley. I hope that Ayush and his cohort students will take this opportunity to try out our product, DevKit and Dev GPT. Collaboration initiatives like these are crucial for the growth and improvement of our platform. Fingers crossed for a positive response from Skill Valley!

Updates on Pro Plan

With the launch of our Pro Plan, it was essential to address the issue of rate limiting. Pro users now have the privilege of having 10-12 requests per minute, which should suffice for their usage of Tip GPT. However, it is crucial to remind users that the API is designed to be a visual tool, not an API for external product use. This limitation is in place to prevent excessive billing and ensure sustainability.

Applying to Draper University

As part of my ongoing Journey to explore new opportunities, I recently came across Draper University, known for its support of startups. After seeing a fellow founder's scholarship tweet, I decided to reach out to him, seeking a referral code for Draper University's five-week program. By leveraging personal connections and tailoring my application, I hope to increase my chances of being accepted into this valuable program. Silicon Valley awaits!

Refactoring Code

In the pursuit of continuous improvement, I dedicated some time to refactor our codebase. By making minor improvements to the CSV Viewer tool and ensuring the clear button functions as expected, we enhance the user experience and streamline processes. These small tweaks contribute to the overall efficiency and functionality of our product.

Setting up Exclusive Channels

To enhance the user experience for our premium plan members, we plan to set up automation that allows them to access exclusive channels effortlessly. While there were previously bots to facilitate this, it appears that they are no longer functioning. As an alternative, we can manually add premium plan members to our Discord community within a couple of hours. Automation may not be necessary from day one, as personalized assistance and support can be valuable during the initial stages.

Manual Steps for Discord Community

In light of the Current situation with the invite link bot not functioning, we have decided to manually add users who purchase our product to our Discord community. This approach allows us to personally engage with our users, provide prompt support, and ensure a seamless onboarding process. While automation remains a long-term goal, allocating time for personalized interactions can Create a positive foundation for our community.

Call with Founder from Los Angeles

Recently, I had the opportunity to have a call with a founder from Los Angeles. This founder discovered a tweet in which I praised our database client's ability to generate SQL queries from English. It turns out that this feature proved invaluable to me recently, as I worked with subscriptions and customer tables on our product's staging databases. The call was insightful, allowing me to gain a deeper understanding of Shopify apps and explore potential collaboration opportunities to leverage Charge GBT or Dev GPT for his e-commerce stores. Meaningful conversations like these offer valuable insights and new ideas for the future.

Conclusion

As we approach the upcoming launch, I am determined to address any remaining rough edges and ensure a Flawless experience for our users. Finalizing the preparation of a comprehensive list of potential collaborators and people we can reach out to for product promotion is a priority. With each passing day, we gain Momentum towards our goals. Thank You for joining me on this journey, and I look forward to sharing more updates in the next vlog episode. Stay tuned and have a great week ahead!
