Introduction

Welcome to the Flight Community Sync! Today is July 12th, and I'm your host, Martin Stein. We have a super packed agenda for today, so let's dive right in.

Community Highlights

In this section, we'll discuss the exciting projects happening within the Flight ecosystem. From new developments to important updates, there's plenty to cover. Let's get started.

Road Mapping

During today's session, we'll also touch upon the road map for Flight. While we won't be going into too much Detail, we'll provide an overview of upcoming features and improvements. Stay tuned for more information.

Demo by Dan from Union AI

One of the highlights of today's sync is a special demo by Dan from Union AI. This demo promises to be quite interesting, so make sure You don't miss it. We're grateful to have Dan take the time to share his knowledge with us.

Fireside Chat on ML Orchestration

Following the demo, we have our first-ever fireside chat. The topic of discussion will be ML Orchestration. We have five special guests, including Katherine, the CEO of Union AI, and myself, joining this panel. This is sure to be a fascinating conversation, so make sure to stick around.

Community Updates

In this section, we'll introduce one of our contributors, Zugato Ray. Get to know Zugato better as they share their Journey with Flight and their passion for open source. It's always inspiring to hear stories from our community members.

Flight at the Scipy Conference

Niels, one of our team members, will be speaking at the Scipy Conference in Austin. He'll be presenting Flight and discussing its various properties that make it suitable for production. If you're interested, keep an eye out for the recording or live streaming of the conference.

Union ML Open Source Software Planning

We have an exciting initiative planned for open source enthusiasts. Our internal planning meetings for Union ML will now be open for participation. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the development and improvement of the framework. Roadmap Updates

Before we wrap up, let's quickly touch upon the roadmap for Flight. Version 1.2 has been on the roadmap for a while, and we'll have Dan discussing a component of it, specifically Ray tasks and Ray integration. Stay tuned for more updates regarding the roadmap and future releases.
