Article: Transforming Our Bedroom for Christmas and Answering Your Burning Questions

Welcome back, everyone! It's Kayla here, and today's video is all about transforming our bedroom for Christmas while also taking the time to answer some of the burning questions You all have been asking. So, sit back, relax, and let's dive into the festive spirit!

1. Introduction

Hey, guys! It's your girl Kayla, and I am super excited to have you here today. In this video, we're going to be bringing the holiday cheer to our bedroom. But before we jump into the decorating process, let's take a moment to address some of the questions you all have been curious about.

2. The Rewarding and Challenging Aspects of Owning a Home

One of the questions we received is about the most rewarding thing and the most challenging aspect of owning our home. Let me tell you, it has been such a fulfilling experience to put our hard-earned money into something that is truly ours. Witnessing the transformations we've made in this fixer-upper has been nothing short of amazing.

On the flip side, the most challenging part was the Journey to finally getting the keys to this house. It was a rollercoaster ride, and it made us realize that owning a home and going through the process of finding one is no walk in the park. However, the end result was well worth the challenges we faced along the way.

3. Old Home vs New Home: Which is Better?

Another burning question you all had is whether we would suggest buying an old home and renovating it or purchasing a new home. This is a tricky question, as it ultimately depends on personal preferences. If you're someone who enjoys do-it-yourself projects and has a vision for your home, buying an old home and renovating it can be a rewarding experience. However, if you prefer a turn-key home and don't want to deal with renovations, buying a new home might be a better option for you.

4. Is Our Current Home a Forever Home?

Many of you have asked if our current home is our forever home. Initially, we had plans of purchasing a new home and customizing it to our liking. However, with the current state of the economy and the high costs of home loans and building materials, we have reconsidered. We have started making plans to expand the kitchen, convert the sunroom into usable space, and Create a larger Master Suite. With the potential to make these changes, our current home could very well become our forever home. Plus, the excellent interest rate we received on our mortgage makes staying here a financially wise decision.

5. The Next Project for Our House

Now, let's talk about the next project on our list. Many of you expressed excitement about seeing our office transformation. We apologize for the delay, but we have been diligently saving up to make it happen. We already have the plans in place and can't wait to share the progress with you all in the new year.

In addition to the office, we still have a few remaining tasks to complete in our fixer-upper. The master bathroom and closet are next on our list for renovations. We also plan on refinishing all the floors in the house and expanding the entryway. Adding a deck to the back patio and a gazebo in the backyard are also in our plans. These projects may seem daunting, but we're determined to make our house a true home.

6. Preparing for Life Together: Finances, Dreams, and College

As a young couple, many of you want to know how we prepared for our life together. One of the most important steps we took was attending premarital counseling before getting married. This experience allowed us to discuss important topics such as finances, dreams, and our plans for the future. It brought us closer together and ensured we were on the same page before embarking on this lifelong journey.

7. Living Outside of the United States: Our Thoughts

The question of whether we would ever consider living outside of the United States has crossed our minds. We both have a deep passion for exploring different cultures, especially in Africa. While no concrete plans are in place, we do dream of having a vacation home on the continent and visiting various African countries. The allure of experiencing different cultures and immersing ourselves in new environments is incredibly enticing.

8. Our Next Planned Vacation Destination

Speaking of vacations, many of you inquired about our next travel destination. Though we don't have anything booked yet, we have our sights set on visiting Tanzania or possibly Zanzibar. The allure of the stunning landscapes and rich history draws us in. Additionally, we plan to visit my best friend in Gambia and explore the surrounding areas. While our plans may change, We Are eager to embark on new adventures and create lasting memories.

9. Coping With Miscarriage: Finding Healing

The journey of coping with a miscarriage has been a deeply personal and challenging one for us. Initially, our coping mechanisms were not the healthiest. However, as time has passed, we have found solace in finding joy in the small things and relying on our faith. Music, in particular, has played a significant role in our healing. Tasha Cobbs' song "Gracefully Broken" has been a source of comfort during our darkest days. Additionally, premarital counseling and open communication have strengthened our bond and brought us closer together.

10. Expanding Our Family: Our Desires and Plans

Despite the pain of miscarriage, we still hold hope and desire to expand our family. Our dream of having children remains strong, and we are open to all possibilities, including adoption. We believe that our family will grow in its own time, and we eagerly await the day we are blessed with a healthy pregnancy and a precious baby. It is a journey we are excited to embark on, albeit with cautious optimism.

11. How We Found and Chose Marshmallow

Many of you have fallen in love with Marshmallow, our adorable companion. We found Marshmallow through a listing on Facebook. It was love at first sight, and we Instantly knew that this little furball would become a cherished member of our family. As for choosing a Bichon Frise, we were drawn to their friendly nature and cuteness overload. Marshmallow has brought so much joy into our lives, and we couldn't imagine our family without them.

12. Reflecting on the Year: How We're Doing

As the year comes to an end, it's natural to reflect on how we're doing. Despite the challenges and uncertainties we've faced, we are doing pretty well overall. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunities we've had and the support from our viewers. The journey hasn't always been easy, but we've learned and grown so much along the way. We look forward to what the future holds and the adventures that await us.
