Planning for the Next Week
In today's video, I will be sharing with You my process of planning for the upcoming week. With spring just around the corner, I wanted to Create a vibrant and inspiring spread to welcome the new season. For this, I will be using the beautiful seasonal Whimsy sticker book from the Happy Planner spring release. So let's dive in and see how I put it all together!
Choosing the Sticker Book
To kick off my planning process, I carefully selected the sticker book that would best match my vision for the spread. The Whimsy sticker book stood out to me with its playful and colorful designs, perfect for capturing the essence of spring. Plus, the new Happy Planner spring release has just launched, so everything is readily available for purchase!
Selecting Quotes for the Spread
Quotes are a great way to set the tone and theme for the week. I chose two main quotes from the sticker book: "Let your soul shine" and "Always shine bright." I loved the size and design of these quotes, making them perfect for focal points in my spread. I decided to place the "Let your soul shine" quote at the bottom, as it fits snugly in the corner. As for the "Always shine bright" quote, I decided to cut it apart and place it in the sidebar for added Flair.
Arranging the Stickers
With the main quotes in place, I started filling in the spread with coordinating stickers. I wanted to add some pops of color and excitement, so I used pink foil star stickers around the "Always shine bright" quote. These little stars added a charming touch to the spread. I also decided to incorporate some of the pink foil stars around the other quote to tie everything together.
Adding Decorative Elements
To add more visual interest, I decided to include a floral element in the spread. I found a lovely flower sticker in the sticker book, which I cut apart to use in two different places. Placing one part at the bottom and the other on the sidebar created a balanced and Cohesive look.
Using Color Boxes
In this spread, I wanted to experiment with different color boxes. While I usually stick to a single color palette, I opted to use various colors from the sticker book. I placed a Blue box and a slender box in a darker green shade at the bottom. Additionally, I included a Blush-colored box and a golden box for added variety. The mix of colors added a refreshing and playful touch to the spread.
Using Flags and Labels
Flags and labels are great for highlighting important events or tasks in the week. I used a Watermelon-colored flag sticker to mark a particular day, creating a visual focal point. I also incorporated a peach-colored flag sticker in another section to add a touch of elegance. These flags helped to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
Incorporating Floral and Nature Elements
To enhance the spring theme, I included some beautiful butterflies and leaf stickers. These stickers added a whimsical and natural touch to the spread. I also found a pink leaf scrap, which matched perfectly with the stickers. Cutting it to the desired size, I placed it strategically to create visual balance and flow.
Adding Inspirational Quotes
In addition to the main quotes, I wanted to include more inspirational phrases throughout the spread. I found a sticker that says "Today is brand new," which worked perfectly as a quote. Placing it on Monday added an extra boost of motivation for the start of the week. I also added a sticker that says "Get outside and explore," which encourages embracing the beauty of nature.
Celebrating the First Day of Spring
As the week marked the first day of spring, I made sure to incorporate a sticker celebrating this special occasion. Using my Cricut machine, I created a custom sticker that says "First day of spring." Placing it in a prominent spot highlighted the significance of the day and added a festive touch to the spread.
Organizing Tasks with To-Do Lists
To stay organized and on top of my tasks, I used various to-do list stickers. These stickers helped me jot down important tasks and prioritize my activities for the week. Adding tasks like "To do," "Today," and "Important" made it easier to track and manage my daily and weekly goals.
