The Best Perks You Need for Jedi Survivor
In today's Jedi Survivor video, we will take a look at the best perks You need to get your hands on and a few really strong builds that fit them very nicely. There are 22 perks you can Collect through exploration, boss battles, and even buy from vendors, but you can only have a maximum of 10 perk slots. This means there is quite a bit of mix and matching needed to find the perfect combination.
Best Perks for Early Game
Resilience
In the early game, when your perk slots are limited, I found that resilience and the shutter perk both provide a great balance between defense and offense. Resilience is unmissable as you get it from the main story, while the shutter perk is obtained after defeating the rank or boss during the missing prospector side mission on Kobo. Resilience provides an extra section of block meter on top of what you already have. This allows you to block or reflect attacks more often, which is incredibly useful against ranged enemies. Shatter, on the other HAND, increases the stamina damage of your attacks. This perk is especially effective against tougher enemies, as it shortens the time needed to stagger them.
Dexterity
Another useful perk for the early game is dexterity, which increases the damage of your throw attacks. This perk is obtained from the Chamber of Reasoning in the jungle area known as the Bezel Rift. With dexterity, your throw attacks become significantly stronger, allowing you to deal more damage to enemies.
The Legendary Perk: Fortitude
One of the most powerful perks in the game is the legendary perk called fortitude. This perk increases your lightsaber damage, but it also increases the incoming damage against you. It costs a total of 4 perk slots, so it is quite expensive to acquire. You can find this perk on Kobo after defeating the vile. While the increase in damage taken may seem disadvantageous, the boost in lightsaber damage is significant. With fortitude, you can take down enemies much faster.
The Perfect Melee Build
To Create the perfect melee build, you can combine the fortitude perk with other effective perks. One such perk is versatility, which allows you to deal extra damage for a few seconds after switching lightsaber stances. You can obtain versatility from Z's shop for just five data disks. Combined with the fortitude perk, this mod allows you to deal even more damage with your lightsaber attacks.
If you also want to incorporate Force powers into your build, you can switch out versatility with equilibrium. Equilibrium can also be purchased from Z's shop. It buffs the damage of your attacks for one hit following the usage of a force power. By combining fortitude, versatility, and equilibrium, you can create a powerful melee build that deals significant damage to enemies.
The Best Blaster Stance Build
For those who prefer a blaster stance build, the ambidexterity perk is a must-have. This perk temporarily increases lightsaber damage against shooting targets, making your blaster attacks more effective. You can find the ambidexterity perk in the final Jedi chamber on Kobo in the devastated settlement. Get it and activate it to boost your blaster damage.
To further enhance your blaster stance build, you can add the marksmanship perk. This perk buffs the damage of all your blaster shots. It can be found in the devastated settlement as well. When combined with ambidexterity, marksmanship creates the perfect blaster stance build that maximizes your damage output.
Honorable Mentions
There are a few other perks worth mentioning, although they may not be as powerful as the ones Mentioned above. The persistence perk, for example, grants you a small amount of HP whenever you defeat an enemy during Slow Time. While useful in the early game, its effectiveness diminishes as you progress.
The gambler and wisdom combo perks provide extra experience gain. However, the increase in experience gain becomes negligible in the end game. It may not be necessary to prioritize these perks unless you specifically want to farm experience.
Other Perks to Consider
There are several other perks available in the game, but they may not be as impactful or useful in certain situations. For example, the centered perk should have allowed Cal to take one hit without being interrupted, but it does not work as intended. The flux perk reduces your max force meter significantly, which makes it less practical in the end game.
Conclusion
In conclusion, choosing the right perks for your character build can greatly enhance your gameplay experience in Jedi Survivor. While some perks are more powerful than others, it is important to find combinations that suit your playstyle. Experiment with different perks and builds to discover the best combination that allows you to overcome any challenge that comes your way.
