A Full Face of Alibaba Makeup: A Disastrous Journey

Introduction

Welcome back to my YouTube Channel! In today's video, We Are diving into yet another episode of trying a full face of makeup from a new source - AliExpress. If you're unfamiliar with AliExpress, it's essentially the final boss of online retailers, offering a wide array of products at wholesale prices. However, this video has been a nightmare from the start, with missing orders, canceled items, and questionable product quality. Join me as I take you through the highs and lows of this disastrous Journey through a full face of Alibaba makeup.

What is AliExpress?

If you're a beauty enthusiast, you're likely familiar with various online retailers that offer affordable makeup options. AliExpress takes that affordability to the extreme as a wholesale marketplace, where sellers offer products in bulk at significantly lower costs. From eyelashes to eyeliners, AliExpress has it all. But is it too good to be true? Let's find out.

The Nightmarish Experience of Ordering from AliExpress

Months in the making, this video has been plagued with issues from the start. Orders were missing, items were canceled, and the struggle to even have enough products for a full face routine was real. But against all odds, we managed to Gather a selection of AliExpress makeup items, albeit only half of what was originally ordered.

The Foundation: Lamela Clear and Silky Foundation

After the primer's disappearance, we jumped straight into the foundation. The Lamela Clear and Silky Foundation offered some hope with its medium coverage and relatively close color match. Priced at $236, it was a decent option, but the packaging left a lot to be desired. A fully opened and used bottle was delivered, casting doubts on the quality we were about to experience.

The Search for Missing Primers

Unfortunately, the missing primer added to the list of disappointments from AliExpress. No amount of searching or refunds could bring back the elusive primer, leaving our canvas foundation-only and unprotected against the elements.

Concealer Woes: Wonder Concealer Pencils

Next up were the wonder concealer pencils, which arrived in different shades but lacked variety in color. Our hopes for concealing imperfections were dashed as the first pencil showed little to no coverage. A Second attempt with the Sweet Mint pencil fared slightly better, but still fell short of expectations.

Unboxing Makeup Brushes

Unboxing the makeup brushes was an exciting moment, with hopes of discovering Hidden Gems. While the brushes themselves appeared sturdy and of decent quality, the designs left a lot to be desired, resembling cocktail stirs and Pokémon characters. Despite their appearance, they did perform reasonably well during application, proving that looks can be deceiving.

The Case of the Eyeshadows: Focal Clap Clap

Opening the eyeshadow palette was disappointing, to say the least. The texture and quality felt extremely cheap, with one shade even separated into layers that the user had to manually mix. The pigment was lacking, especially in the crease shades, forcing us to layer and Blend multiple times to achieve any semblance of color.

The Disappointing Eyeliner Options

The eyeliner options from AliExpress continued the streak of disappointment. The hypers sharp liner lacked intensity and struggled to cover the glitter flakes layered on the lids. Additionally, the eyeliner from the Ian Shu brand claimed waterproof and long-lasting wear but failed to live up to its promises.

The Lashes: Cute but Too Small

Among the few pleasant surprises, the lashes from AliExpress were cute and affordable. However, they fell short in size, leaving much to be desired in terms of dramatic impact. For those with shorter natural lashes, these might be a suitable choice, but for others, they may lack the desired effect.

Highlighter Mishaps: Focal Clap Clap

Highlighter with an intriguing name, Focal Clap Clap, failed to impress. Despite the anticipation, the texture was subpar, and the payoff left much to be desired. The product barely showed up on the skin and left a lackluster finish, failing to achieve that coveted lit-from-within glow.

Lip Pencil Challenges

The lip pencils from AliExpress presented a mixed bag. While the shades were not particularly appealing, the formula was decent enough to provide satisfactory coverage. However, it fell short of higher-quality alternatives, leaving room for improvement in color selection and longevity.

The Final Verdict: A Full Face of Alibaba Makeup

With the entire makeup routine completed, the overall outcome was less than desirable. The foundation and some other products surpassed expectations, but the majority fell short in terms of color payoff, longevity, and overall quality. It is safe to say that shopping for makeup on Alibaba is not a recommended option for those seeking reliable and high-quality products.

Why You Should Avoid Shopping for Makeup on Alibaba

While Alibaba offers wholesale prices and a wide range of products, the quality and reliability of such makeup items can be questionable. From missing orders and canceled items to poor pigment and lackluster finishes, the experience of trying a full face of Alibaba makeup was far from satisfactory. It is best to explore alternative retailers and brands that prioritize quality and customer satisfaction.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the journey through a full face of Alibaba makeup was a roller coaster ride of disappointments and occasional surprises. While some products managed to defy expectations, the overall experience solidified the fact that shopping for makeup on Alibaba is a risky gamble. So, save yourself the frustration and opt for reputable retailers that prioritize quality and customer satisfaction.
