👉 Introduction

Welcome, survivors and friends, to this weekly update on all things Rust! As we delve deeper into the month, there are numerous exciting developments to keep track of. So, let's jump straight into the action and uncover what's in store for you in the Rustiverse!

👉 Subscription Reminder

Before we dive into the latest updates, I want to take a moment to remind you to subscribe to my Channel if you haven't already. I've heard from the ever-reliable PooTube (😉) that many of you enjoy my videos but forget to hit that subscribe button. So, why not make it official today and become a part of our thriving Rust community? And don't forget to turn on the notification Bell for Instant updates!

👉 Removal of Nvidia Filters in Rust

Many of you may already be aware of this, but it's worth mentioning that the ability to use Nvidia filters in Rust has been removed. While some of you may have enjoyed using them for artistic purposes only, it's essential to maintain a level playing field for all players. Though it may be disappointing, this change ensures fair gameplay for everyone.

👉 External Crosshairs as a Feature

In response to the ongoing debate about external crosshairs, it seems that they will soon be included as an official feature in Rust. These crosshairs will likely be part of the new recoil changes. So, for those who've been seeking some extra targeting assistance, rejoice and embrace your newfound aim-enhancing abilities!

👉 Updates to Spraycans

The spraycan is receiving a notable upgrade this month as the developers bring back the option to paint and apply decals. Admins will also gain the ability to remove all sprays from a server and regulate the amount of spraypaint a player can have active at a given time. By default, your artwork will last for three hours, but this duration can be adjusted using a convar. Check the description for more details.

👉 Paid Content for Decals and Painting

While everyone will be able to use spraycans to reskin their items, it's important to note that decals and painting will become paid content upon their reintroduction. So, if you want to stand out with unique designs, prepare your wallet for some Rusty creativity!

👉 Toggle FPS Counter and Additional Info

On staging, players now have the option to toggle the FPS counter in the options menu. Additionally, you can access more information on memory usage and ping if desired. This update aims to provide enhanced visibility and control over your Rust gaming experience.

👉 Stamina Costs for Horses on Rails

Horses will soon enjoy the same lower stamina costs when traveling on rails as they currently experience on roads. This adjustment aims to streamline horseback exploration, ensuring a smoother and more efficient journey.

👉 Revamp of Trainyard

Exciting changes are in store for the iconic Trainyard monument. It is being revamped to allow seamless integration with the actual trainline. Finally, monuments that make sense in their surroundings! Get ready for new possibilities and strategic advantages in this reimagined landscape.

👉 Addition of Scientist Patrols at Launch Site

Bradley won't be the only Cobalt employee at the launch site anymore! Scientist patrols are being added inside and on top of the main building, adding an extra layer of challenge and excitement. Brace yourself for intense encounters and increased opportunities for valuable loot.

👉 New Convars for Admins

Admins will be pleased to discover additional convars that grant them more control over the Game environment. Soon, they'll have the power to make AI ignore specific players and even exterminate all animals on a server. Great power comes with great responsibility, so wield these new features wisely, admins!

👉 Fixes and Additions

The developers continue to address various issues and add new features to enhance gameplay. Footsteps should no longer sound like you're perpetually barefoot, and an FPS drop when the item pickup Notice is on screen has received attention. The Rust team is always working diligently to ensure a smoother and more immersive experience for all players.

👉 Return of Hapis Island

Finally, the wait is almost over! As Mentioned last week, the all-new and improved Hapis Island is set to return to servers next month. In fact, as this information is subject to change, it may already be available on staging for testing and bug fixes. Keep an eye on my socials for further details via Twitter, Facebook, Discord, and my Steam group.
