Introduction
Hey guys, it's Gani here! In today's video, I want to share with you my experience with assembling a PC. Before we jump into it, I just wanted to say sorry for any mistakes I made in the past, and I hope you all had a great New Year celebration. Now, let's get started!
Apologies and Updates
First of all, I want to apologize for any errors I may have made in my previous videos. I appreciate your understanding and support. Now, let's get back to business!
Background Story
Recently, I visited my cousin in Bandung, and he told me about a PC issue he was facing. He Mentioned that his PC wouldn't turn on when he installed his graphics card. I was curious to understand what was causing this problem, as I had never encountered it before. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the graphics card, so I can't provide specific details about the brand or model.
The PC Issue
My cousin's PC had an Intel i5 2500 processor and was initially built without a dedicated graphics card. He wanted to upgrade it by adding a graphics card and asked for my help. However, when the graphics card was installed, the PC refused to boot up. As I'm passionate about building and troubleshooting PCs, I was determined to figure out what went wrong.
Testing the PC
To understand the issue, I decided to test the PC without the graphics card and see if it would turn on. Surprisingly, the PC booted up successfully. This confirmed that the problem was related to the graphics card. I couldn't pinpoint the exact reason behind it, but it seemed like a compatibility issue between the graphics card and the PC.
Unboxing and Setup
In today's video, I will only be testing the PC to check if it powers on. I haven't unboxed any new components yet, so I'll save the exciting part for another video. I'll keep you all updated on that. For now, let's focus on testing if the PC turns on.
Performance Testing
With the PC in front of me, I started connecting all the necessary cables. It's essential to use the right power supply, but unfortunately, the one I had wasn't the best quality. However, I've used it in the past without any issues, so I decided to proceed with caution.
I powered on the PC and, to my relief, it started up smoothly. The processor's temperature was within normal range, and everything seemed fine. I quickly ran some benchmark tests to check if everything was running as expected. The performance was decent, considering the PC's age and the limited resources.
Games Testing
Now, it was time to test the PC's capabilities with some games. I started with GTA V, keeping the graphics settings low to ensure smooth gameplay. The FPS was impressive and consistent, with no major frame drops or missing textures. The power consumption was around 150 watts, which was acceptable for the system's specs.
Next, I tried eFootball PES 2021, and again, the PC handled it well. The FPS was consistently above 60, making the Game enjoyable to play. The temperature remained stable within safe limits, reassuring me that the system was handling the load efficiently.
Conclusion
Overall, the PC performed better than expected, considering its age and low-spec components. It was capable of running popular games smoothly, bringing joy to gaming enthusiasts. I was satisfied with the results of this brief testing session.
In my next video, I will be unboxing and assembling a new PC, so stay tuned for that. I'm excited to share the whole process with you and provide a detailed review of the components. Thank you all for your support, and I'll catch you in the next one!
