Day 1: Late for Work
Today, We Are embarking on a speedrun of the horror game "Closing Shift." Our speedrun begins with a little loading screen where we find ourselves running late for work. Our apartment is located on the top floor, so we have to make our way down the entire staircase to reach our car. Along the way, we stumble upon someone's phone on the ground and being the good citizen that we are, we pick it up. However, the person crouching on the ground to whom we HAND the phone is rather rude. With no time to dwell on his attitude, we turn the corner and are greeted by Senpai, who is rightfully mad at us for being late. It's time to put away our phone and get started with work.
Our first task is to make a coffee and a latte. While coffee is a straightforward preparation, the latte requires us to add steamed milk to the coffee. As we work on these drinks, we also begin preparing a blended ice drink. Once the first two drinks are ready, we can proceed to make the customer's order by adding steamed milk to one of the coffees and placing the lids on both drinks.
Next, we encounter a group of students who have placed their orders and are waiting. They engage in a lengthy conversation, making it challenging to discern their individual orders. We attempt to guess their preferences but fail to get them all correct. Nonetheless, we manage to deliver the drinks to the right people. Moving on, we have to prepare a chocolate chip chil paccino, which involves blending coffee, milk, chocolate Sauce, and cocoa powder. Additionally, we have to make a matcha chili Pino, a salted caramel mocha, and a white mocha by combining various ingredients. It's quite a task, but we handle it with focus and efficiency.
To conclude our shift for the day, we also need to Collect a matcha cake, a pumpkin cake, an American waffle, and an American apple pie from the counter. After retrieving these pastries, we can place them in the appropriate location and finish off the day with a simple latte.
Pros:
- Gain hands-on experience in making a variety of coffee drinks
- Encounter diverse customer orders
- Opportunity to improve speed and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
Cons:
- Dealing with rude customers and challenging orders
- Keeping track of multiple tasks simultaneously
Day 2: Senpai's Indifference
On the Second day of our speedrun, we find ourselves once again running late for work. Unlike the previous day, we do not come across any mysterious items on our way out and make it straight to our car. Upon arrival at work, we encounter Senpai, who is disgruntled about our tardiness. He quickly makes his exit, leaving us to start our tasks for the day.
Our first responsibility is to prepare two caramel macchiatos, followed by two caramel toffees, two American scones, and an American apple pie. Despite the pressure to work quickly and accurately, we manage to complete these orders efficiently. However, during this process, a customer approaches us without saying a word and gives us a rather sinister look. We brush off their peculiar behavior and Continue with our duties.
Next, we are tasked with busting tables and clearing the floors, which involves sweeping away the dirt and debris left by customers. As we diligently perform these tasks, we come across a picture on one of the tables. To our surprise, it is a photograph of ourselves. The unsettling feeling of being watched intensifies. Nevertheless, we persevere and finish the day with a straightforward latte preparation.
