Building a PC with a 5 Million Budget

Building a PC is an exciting task, especially when you have a budget of 5 million Indonesian Rupiah. In this episode, we will continue where we left off and assemble a white edition PC. With an additional budget of 200,000 Rupiah, we will upgrade to a Ryzen 5 5600G processor. Let's discuss the performance and components used in this build, as well as compare it to previous builds.

The Requested White Edition PC

The PC we are building today was requested by a viewer who wanted a white color theme. We chose the LM300 LGB White Edition casing for its aesthetic appeal. The casing features an LED strip on the side, which can be connected to a compatible RGB-enabled motherboard. Although the motherboard we are using doesn't have RGB support, the casing still adds a nice touch to the overall look. To complete the white edition theme, we also decided to add three white Magic fans with LED rings.

The Processor and Motherboard Comparison

In previous builds, we used the Ryzen 5 4600G processor, but due to popular demand, we upgraded to the Ryzen 5 5600G. The 5600G offers a similar price range to the 4600G, but with improved performance. However, there is a slight difference in the motherboards used. Previously, we used the ASRock B450M-HDV motherboard, while this time we opted for the MSI A520M-A PRO. Both motherboards have their advantages, but the B450M-HDV is known for its better overclocking capabilities.

RAM and Storage Choices

For the RAM, we decided to go with the white edition theme and chose the ADATA XPG GAMMIX D10. This 16GB dual-Channel RAM operates at 3200MHz, which is sufficient for most tasks. As for storage, we selected the Team Group MP34 256GB SSD. It offers fast read and write speeds, perfect for storing the operating system and frequently used applications.

Power Supply and Casing

We decided to stick with the Deepcool VF580 Plus Standard power supply, as it has proven to be reliable in previous builds. As for the casing, the LM300 LGB White Edition was the perfect choice for the white theme. The LED strip and the overall design of the casing gives it a stylish and modern look.

Performance and Gaming Tests

After assembling the PC, it was time to put it to the test. In terms of CPU performance, the Ryzen 5 5600G showed a significant improvement over the previous build, with a 16-20% increase in performance. However, when it came to gaming, the results were slightly disappointing. The games we tested had lower frame rates compared to the previous build. For example, in Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the average FPS was only around 30, whereas the previous build achieved 30 FPS. This could be attributed to the differences in RAM and motherboard specifications.

Comparison to Previous Builds

When comparing the overall performance of the Ryzen 5 5600G to the Ryzen 5 4600G, there was a noticeable improvement in CPU performance. However, the gaming performance took a hit. It is unclear why this is the case, as both processors have the same GPU specifications. It could be due to differences in memory chips or motherboard chipsets, but further investigation is needed.

Conclusion

In conclusion, building a PC with a 5 million budget can be a challenging task. The white edition PC we assembled in this episode offers a visually pleasing aesthetic, but the gaming performance may not meet expectations. The Ryzen 5 5600G processor showed improved CPU performance, but the GPU performance was lacking. If you are looking to build a similar PC, take into consideration the specifications and performance comparisons Mentioned in this article.
