🖥️ A Unique AMD Gaming System: Modifying and Customizing for Unmatched Performance and Aesthetic Appeal
Welcome back to Kit Guru, guys! Today's video is the start of something big: another one of our custom builds. But this time, it's not going to be a simple, standard, straightforward build. We're partnering with AMD to create something extraordinary—a truly unique system that you won't find anywhere else. In this series of videos, we'll be modifying, customizing, disassembling, and reassembling various parts to create a gaming powerhouse optimized with AMD hardware and software.
1. Introduction
Regular viewers of the Kit Guru Channel know that in addition to reviewing hardware, I love getting my hands dirty with custom builds. It's in these big custom builds where I can truly showcase my creativity and deliver a system that's both visually stunning and high-performing. And this time, the collaboration with AMD adds another level of excitement to the project.
2. Partnership with AMD
Our mission with this custom build is to create an AMD AAA system. But what does that mean? In AMD's terminology, an AAA system includes an AMD Ryzen CPU, an AMD Radeon graphics card, and optimization using AMD software such as Ryzen Master and the Adrenaline software with features like FSR (FidelityFX Super Resolution). This partnership allows us to maximize system performance and create an unparalleled gaming experience.
3. Core Components of the System
Let's dive into the core components that will make up this exceptional gaming system. Each component will undergo modifications, customizations, and optimizations to achieve the desired look and performance.
3.1 Motherboard: Gigabyte X570 Aorus Extreme
The motherboard we'll be using is the Gigabyte X570 Aorus Extreme. This high-end motherboard not only provides a solid foundation for the system but also offers ample opportunities for customization. With various shrouds, M.2 heatsinks, and chipset heatsinks, this motherboard is ready to be transformed. We'll disassemble it, modify the color scheme, and make it visually Cohesive with the overall theme.
3.2 CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
Powering our gaming system is the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, AMD's latest and most powerful gaming CPU. This processor delivers exceptional performance, and we'll explore overclocking opportunities to push it even further. With the right optimizations, we aim to extract every bit of power this CPU has to offer.
3.3 GPU: Gigabyte Radeon RX 6950XT Gaming OC
To complement the powerful CPU, we have the Gigabyte Radeon RX 6950XT Gaming OC graphics card. This beast of a GPU requires some modifications to match our desired theme. We'll be removing the heatsink, applying a water block, and potentially modding the block itself to ensure it seamlessly fits within the white and silver aesthetic we're aiming for.
3.4 System Memory: G Skill Trident Z Royal Elite
The system memory we've chosen is the G Skill Trident Z Royal Elite. With its stunning silver heatsinks, it perfectly aligns with our theme. No modifications are needed for this component, as it already complements the overall look.
3.5 Storage: Aorus Gen 4 SSD and Kingston Fury Renegade M.2 SSDs
Storage is essential, and we're equipping this system with top-of-the-line options. For the operating system, we'll use the Aorus Gen 4 SSD, offering high-speed performance. Additional storage will be provided by two 2TB Kingston Fury Renegade M.2 SSDs, offering both capacity and speed. These PCIe gen 4 storage options ensure optimal performance.
3.6 Power Supply: Seasonic Prime TX-1000
Powering this system is the Seasonic Prime TX-1000, a 1000W 80+ Titanium efficiency power supply. While it's a reliable choice, we'll be giving the cables a custom touch. With carefully crafted custom cables, including sleeving and precise lengths, we'll enhance both aesthetics and cable management.
3.7 Cooling: EK Quantum Velocity 2 AM4 CPU Block, EK Quantum Vector GPU Block, EK Quantum Kinetic TBE 300 Pump Reservoir Combos, EK Quantum Surface Radiators, and Leon Lee UniFan SL120 RGB Fans
Keeping our system cool is crucial for optimal performance, and we're going all out with EK Water Blocks. For the CPU, we have the EK Quantum Velocity 2 AM4 block, which will undergo customization to match our theme. The GPU will be equipped with the EK Quantum Vector block, and we'll modify it accordingly.
To ensure efficient cooling, we've chosen the EK Quantum Kinetic TBE 300 pump reservoir combos. With individual loops for the CPU and GPU, we'll have precise control over cooling performance. The EK Quantum Surface radiators offer superb heat dissipation, and their modular nature allows for easy customization. And with the Leon Lee UniFan SL120 RGB fans in white and silver, our system will not only stay cool but also look stunning.
3.8 Customization: Painting, Vinyl Wrapping, and Modding
Customization is the heart of this build. We'll be disassembling components, painting heatsinks and shrouds white, removing anodized coatings, and potentially applying vinyl wraps to achieve the desired white and silver aesthetic. This level of customization ensures our system will be truly unique and tailored to our vision.
4. Wall Mounting with Cooler Master MasterFrame 700
Instead of a traditional case, this system will be wall-mounted using the Cooler Master MasterFrame 700. This sturdy and versatile frame provides an excellent backdrop for showcasing our custom-built components. With its unique design, we can adjust the angle and add accessories like an LCD display for system monitoring.
4.1 LCD Display Mounting
One accessory we plan to incorporate into this build is an LCD display for system monitoring. We're considering various mounting options, including attaching it to the frame or utilizing existing brackets. The precise placement will be determined in later videos, ensuring optimal visibility and aesthetic appeal.
5. Further Modifications: Cable Sleeving, Connectors, and Cooling Accessories
In addition to the major modifications, we're also focusing on smaller details. We'll be creating custom-length and custom-sleeved cables for the power supply, using MD PCX's natural white and platinum X sleeving. These cables will match our theme and elevate the overall look of the system.
We'll also utilize various connectors for PCIe, 24-Pin, and other components. Everything will be carefully selected to ensure seamless integration and maintain the visual consistency of the build. And to enhance the cooling system further, we're considering flow indicators and additional cooling accessories.
6. Giving Away the Completed System
Once the build is complete and all videos are released, we'll be giving away this unique AMD gaming system to one lucky viewer. We want to share the joy and excitement of owning a system that's not only powerful but also visually stunning and individually crafted.
7. Conclusion
This custom build series promises to be an exciting journey of modifications, customizations, and optimizations. We'll take you along step-by-step, showcasing how each component transforms to fit our white and silver theme.
