In today's video, we'll be taking a closer look at a unique graphics card from ASUS Republic of Gamers - the Radeon RX 6900 XT. What sets this graphics card apart is that it is water-cooled instead of air-cooled. This means that along with the graphics card, you'll need to install a radiator to achieve enhanced performance and lower temperatures. 2.1 Opening the Graphics Card Box

The graphics card box is undoubtedly huge, and upon opening it, we are greeted with some ROG stickers and protective foam. Inside, we find the GPU contraption itself. It is pre-water-cooled, similar to an all-in-one liquid cooler attached to the CPU. This design makes it extremely user-friendly, although it may initially appear a bit confusing and unique.

2.2 Design of the Card

Taking the GPU out of the anti-static wrap reveals its design. Interestingly, this graphics card features a blower-style fan as standard, in addition to the pre-attached AIO for cooling the GPU chip. The blower fan exhausts air out of the rear of the card, ensuring efficient cooling for other GPU components. Removing the protective foam layer reveals the radiator and pre-installed fans. The graphics card comes with pre-connected tubes that carry liquid to the radiator to cool down the GPU chip. One of the advantages of water cooling is that it provides much more cooling capacity compared to an air cooler. The setup includes two large 120mm fans and a blower fan, which are larger than what you typically find on a graphics card. You can even add fans on the other side for even more airflow if desired.

Additionally, by moving the heat away from the graphics card to another part of the case, water cooling allows for better heat and airflow management. 2.5 Managing Cables and Fan Speed

Many of the cables are pre-managed, including the fan speed, which is directly controlled by the GPU's temperature. This setup not only optimizes cooling but also reduces noise, as less cooling is required due to the heat being moved away from the card. The larger fans can spin slower while still providing excellent airflow, making the cooling process much more efficient.
